Sun-Ways was created to address two urgent global challenges: the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy and the underutilization of industrial infrastructure—particularly railway corridors. With more than 1,000,000 km² of unused land between railway tracks worldwide, and 49,000 km of railway lines in Canada alone, Sun-Ways offers an innovative way to convert this vast, idle surface into a renewable energy resource.
By integrating photovoltaic (PV) systems directly into railway infrastructure, Sun-Ways technology can generate clean electricity to support electric vehicle (EV) charging networks, power railway systems, supplement regional grids, and enhance national energy independence—all while reducing CO₂ emissions and supporting the global shift toward decarbonized transport.
